This 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera has been refinished in black over a tan interior and is powered by a replacement air-cooled 2.7L flat-six that has reportedly been modified with Mahle cylinders, JE 9.5:1 pistons, Elgin camshafts, and a 911E cylinder head with twin-plug provisions. Additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transaxle, staggered-width 15? Fuchs wheels, Carrera-style brakes, a 22mm front sway bar, 26mm rear torsion bars, Bilstein shocks, a power-operated sunroof, power windows, front and rear spoilers, a Sony CD stereo, and SSI heat exchangers. This 911 Carrera was acquired by the current owner in 2016 and is now offered on dealer consignment with a tool roll, a jack, partial service records, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name. The body was finished from the factory in Light Yellow (117) and was repainted black under previous ownership. Exterior details include a power-operated sunroof, fog lights, front and rear spoilers, dual side-view mirrors, pop-out rear windows, and a single exhaust outlet. Cracking paint is visible on the roof, and paint-meter readings are provided in the gallery below. Staggered-width Fuchs 15? alloy wheels are mounted with Avon Radial tires measuring 185/70 up front and 215/60 out back. A space-saver spare is housed in the front storage compartment. The car rides on Bilstein shocks and has been fitted with steering rack spacers along with Turbo-style ball joints and tie rods. The front and rear control arm bushings and rear spring plate bushings were replaced in May 2019, at which time larger brake rotors and calipers, 26mm rear torsion bars, and a 22mm front sway bar were installed. The cabin houses front bucket seats and folding rear seats upholstered in tan leather. Interior appointments include power windows and a Sony CD stereo. A three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that includes a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 42k miles, and true mileage is unknown. The speedometer was repaired by Palo Alto Speedometer in May 2021. The replacement air-cooled 2.7L flat-six is said to have been fitted with a modified 2.4E cylinder head equipped with provisions for twin plug use, along with Time-Serts, an oil bypass modification, and modified 2.2L throttle bodies. Additional equipment reportedly includes Mahle cylinders, JE forged 9.5:1 compression pistons, Elgin camshafts, and later-style Carrera hydraulic chain tensioners. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle reportedly fitted with a Sachs aluminum plate clutch. SSI heat exchanges have been fitted, and additional underside images are provided in the gallery.
