There is no doubt that Lancia is one of the most significant brands in the rally world, with 10 World Rally Championship Constructor wins under their belt, for decades, the pace they set on gravel, tarmac and snow was essentially untouchable. Out of those 10 wins, 6 of them were consecutive- thanks to the Delta Integrale race car which dominated the Group A class from its start in 1987 through 1992. Dating back to the Group B years, Lancia’s premiere sponsor was Martini and their cars became synonymous with Martini’s White/Blue/Red livery. In 1992 to commemorate the brand’s 6th World Championship, they developed a limited edition variant of the Delta Integrale road car, known as the Martini 6 that embraced the race car’s color scheme. This 1992 Delta Integrale Martini 6 is a stunning example that has been under the care of 3 Italian owners from new. Showing just 33,974 km from new, this car is in exceptional condition throughout and benefits from a recent service less than 1,000 km ago. As with all Martini 6 Intergrales, this car is finished in white, with black/blue/red striping up the sides to harken back to the rally car. As Lancia was understandably proud of their achievements in competition, numerous badges around the car identify it as “World Rally Champion” including along the lower edge of the door, and a unique badge applied to the rear. This example has been fitted with ultra-low profile side view mirrors which look stunning, but the originals are included if you choose to revert back to the original look. During this time period, Delta Integrale interiors were available in a number of colors and materials and Lancia was one of the first brands to cover seats in Alcantara. The interior of this Martini 6 is particularly stunning, with the seats finished in bright turquoise Alcantara, which was unique to the Martini 6 and features the legendary flying elephant HF logo embossed on the headrests. This exciting interior color is then paired with red seatbelts, a center console badge labeling this car as #299, and Martini stitched floor mats to complete the package. Carbon fiber weave covers the area surrounding the shifter as well as a small swath on the dashboard- which has been fitted with an upgraded boost gauge and turbo timer to ensure the car operates at peak performance. Additionally, a later Clarion head unit has been installed. As the Martini 6 was based on an Integrale EVO 1, this car is powered by a 16-valve turbocharged 2.0-liter Inline 4 that produces 210 horsepower at 5,700 rpm. This example is fitted with an aftermarket exhaust that makes a wonderful noise but the stock system is included. Under the hood appears to be in good condition overall and was treated to a recent servicing to ensure that it runs as well as possible. The powerful turbocharged engine is then run through a 5-speed manual gearbox which sends power to all four wheels through a viscous coupling all-wheel-drive system with 47/53 torque split front/rear. With only 310 examples produced for the world, this Martini 6 is an exceptionally special version of an already very special car. With just 3 careful Italian owners over the years, this car has been well preserved and benefits from a few minor upgrades- all of which are simple to revert to stock if you want to begin showing the car. In the decades since the Delta Integrale was built, faster cars with a similar formula have come along and tried to better the Lancia’s performance. But the fact of the matter is, on a twisty back road, there are few cars that could get around a Delta Integrale and regardless of what the other person may be driving, you will be having more fun.
