This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E is powered by a 5.0-liter M119 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Black Pearl Metallic over gray leather. Equipment includes 16? eight-hole alloy wheels, a power sunroof, fog lights, Automatic Slip Control, a Becker cassette stereo, heated power-adjustable front seats, and cruise control. The car spent time in Nebraska, Virginia, and California prior to its purchase by the current owner, who acquired the car in October 2020 and has since added approximately 3k of the 101k miles shown. Recent work has included overhauling the steering gearbox, re-coring the radiator, and replacing the water pump, thermostat, distributor, spark plug wires, engine mounts, lower ball joints, and transmission mounts. This W124 500E is now offered on dealer consignment with literature, a stamped maintenance log, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title. The 500E was assembled by Porsche and featured wheel arch flares, revised bodywork, and a lower ride height when compared to other W124 models. This example is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) and features gray lower cladding. Additional exterior features include headlights with wipers, integrated fog lights, a retractable antenna, and a power sunroof. Photographs of paint-meter readings are shown in the gallery below. The 16? eight-hole alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Premier A/S tires. The car is equipped with Automatic Slip Control (ASR). Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The steering gearbox was overhauled recently, and the lower ball joints were replaced in January 2022. The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in gray leather along with a black dashboard and burled wood trim. Amenities include automatic climate control, a Becker cassette stereo, a power-adjustable steering column, dual front airbags, and cruise control. The air-conditioning system and the trunk-mounted CD changer do not work. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 101k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The 5.0-liter M119 DOHC V8 was factory rated at 322 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Work within the last two years has included re-coring the radiator and replacing the fan clutch, water pump, thermostat, distributor, hoses, spark plugs wires, and engine mounts. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, and the Carfax report indicates that the transmission was replaced in November 2020. The transmission mounts and cooler hoses were replaced within the last two years. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below
