This is the second model of the Ghibli trilogy that was built from 1992 to 1998. Based on the Biturbo’s predecessor, Maserati decided to relaunch the Ghibli at the Turin Motor Show. This time, Marcello Gandini had the pleasure of designing the car and came with a brutal, even wild, look for a sportscar offering a balanced combination of comfort and sportiness. In response to the demand, the Ghibli II was equipped with a V6 engine that was considerably smaller in capacity with 2.0 litres but did not disappoint. The 302 horses made the car accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres an hour (0-60 mph) in less than six seconds. The Ghibli II is rare to find on the market. Approximately 2,500 examples of them were built in total. GTs appeared in 1995 after the acquisition of Maserati by the Fiat group. Their rear frame has been replaced by the one used on other cars of the group (such as that of the Ferrari 456 for example) which makes them much more reliable than the first Biturbos. And quite interesting to note is that only 166 Ghibli GT were made in the 2.0L version. The one we present here for sale is painted in a very elegant color : Blue Sera. The high-class beige interior combines beautifully crafted leather, Alcantara and precious woods. This is the last Maserati model produced with a hand-made interior trim. It has been well enjoyed by its previous owners with 138.000 km on the counter. The vehicle was produced for the Italian market in 1996 and stayed in the hands of the first owner for 6 years. In 2005, it was imported to the Netherlands and cherished for another 8 years. A French gentleman bought the Ghibli in 2013 and sold it back to the current owner in 2015. The car has been registered in Belgium since then and drives occasionally for pleasure. Globally, the vehicle is in good condition. The paint shows a nice shine with no traces of rust. Has never been accidented. Regularly maintained by Maserati official dealers or specialists (all invoices available). Interested ? Do not hesitate to visit us. Our offices are located 5 min away from the Brussels airport.
