This 1978 Porsche 911SC has been refinished in a blue and orange Gulf-style livery, and it is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The interior has been fitted with a roll bar and Recaro bucket seats with black cloth upholstery, and other features include a JWest Engineering shifter, a Rennline fire-extinguisher mount, a radio block-off plate, VDO gauges, a Momo steering wheel, 16? Fuchs wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, an aftermarket exhaust, backdated bodywork, and period-style decals. The current owner acquired the car in April 2022. This modified 911SC 3.0 is now offered on dealership consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Monterey Collection Sale with a California title.

The car has been refinished in matte blue and orange, in keeping with the Gulf livery seen on contemporary racing cars. An IROC-style fiberglass front bumper with an integrated oil cooler has been added along with a fiberglass ducktail engine cover, yellow-tinted headlights, Cibie hood-mounted rally lights, and rear window supports. Porsche lettering adorns the sides, and period-style decals have been added to the fenders and windows. The selling dealer notes various cosmetic imperfections, as pictured in the gallery below.

Orange-painted 16? Fuchs wheels are mounted with 205/55 Hankook Ventus R-S3 front tires and Dunlop Direzza ZII tires measuring 225/50 out back.

The interior has been fitted with an orange roll bar and reclining Recaro bucket seats with Schroth four-point harnesses. Other equipment includes a JWest Engineering RennShift shifter, a Rennline fire-extinguisher mount, and a radio block-off plate. The car also has power windows and a sunroof. The selling dealer notes that the harnesses have expired and are not installed properly, and the heater is inoperable.

A Momo Prototipo steering wheel with an orange center marker has been installed to a quick-release hub. VDO instrumentation includes a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, combination gauges, and an analog clock. The six-digit odometer shows 254k miles and is inoperable. Approximately 500 miles have been added under current ownership, and true mileage is unknown.

The battery has been replaced and relocated, and a front strut brace has been added in the trunk. The fuel tank is finished in orange, and detailed images of the front area are provided in the gallery below.

The 3.0-liter flat-six features a Porsche-branded air intake, continuous fuel injection, and a modified exhaust with an M&K dual-outlet muffler. The selling dealer states that the oil-return tubes have been replaced. The car passed California emissions testing most recently in September 2019.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Corrosion is noted on the underbody, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.

The California title is noted to be a Duplicate.
